Mark Dykstra, Prove Marketing ROIHi! I’m Mark Dykstra, the principal source of energy behind Prove Marketing ROI (PMR).

Most of what you’ll read here has its roots in my 20 year career as a marketer, web developer and technical writer with companies like Dell, Quest Software, Sitraka Software and KL Group.

It was a fantastic run and I’ll always be grateful to the visionary owners I worked for and all the brilliant people I met along the way. I had the opportunity to learn many new technologies and approaches, working primarily on projects related to:

  • Search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Paid search campaigns (PPC)
  • Social media¬†campaigns
  • Online advertising
  • Ecommerce
  • Marketing analytics

There were many times through those years when I thought about publishing our findings, but we were always so busy with work and our growing families that I just didn’t find the time. Sounds like an excuse, I know!

Well, now I have no such excuses. My goal is to build PMR into the kind of resource you think of when researching Marketing technology and tactics. Our writers, guest writers and interviews will share multiple perspectives on digital marketing, relying on our contacts throughout the industry to broaden and deepen our online offering.
